JoinĀ me for a new series of posts! My job “in real life” is a Personal Trainer and a Fitness Instructor. I have a tab on this site for Workouts, but you’ve told me that following written workouts can be difficult. So I’ve started recording my classes and I’ll be posting snippets of them on here. These are my actual classes so you’ll see a different perspective than watching TV workouts. I tell my students we’re there for fun and I’m just throwing in a workout with it! I hope my posts will make you want to get up and join us!

Nail Polish in Everything I Read!

Seems like Nail Polish is everywhere right now. And thatā€™s not a bad thing after all, is it? Ā On Your Feet!

Grab your resistance band. Hold a handle in each hand and shorten the band till it is only about a foot in length and hold it in front of your eyes. Concentrate on your long lat muscles (back muscles) and pull the band down to chest height while barely stretching the band.

Do 20 reps and Repeat your workout THREE Times!

Stretch it out, make sure you Drink Plenty of Water, and get some Protein in you to repair those muscles!

It’s getting easier isn’t it?! Keep it up and workout like this 3 times a week. The rest of the week, walk, skate, swim, just DO SOMETHING and MOVE, MOVE, MOVE! XO


NEW YOU CHALLENGE – Broward General Hospital, Fort Lauderdale, FL

Today was Day 2 of the New You Challenge at Broward General Hospital in Fort Lauderdale. My team, The Lunch Club, meets twice weekly for 30 minutes of intense cardio and strength training with me at the Wellness Center Gym. We are one of 5 teams in the Challenge and I intend to win this competition!

My team is theĀ largest with 2 girls and 3 guys. Robin is a a real competitor and puts her all into it. Mary Beth has determination and is working hard toward her goals. Don likes to slack if he can get away with it, but that ain’t happening here Buddy! Mike found out the first day of the challenge I’m not gonna let him slide on his strong legs. HisĀ upper body is gonna feel the burn! Jim is our ringleader! He’s at the gym in the morning to do cardio on his own and comes back to work with me. And his wife makes him walk with her. This guy is gonna have a healthy heart to go with the kindĀ one he already has!

I really like my team and they all get alongĀ great with each other. That’s what’s gonna make them successful and win this competition. Good health is the fountain of youth. And keeping your body fit will allow you to do more things in your life. I’m a firm believer in making the fitness part of it fun so everybody will want to move and do something physical everyday. Whether it’s my classes or my clients, I want them to want to come back to me. Crazy is as crazy does! šŸ™‚
